SVO Conference - Saturday December 10th,  2005.
to be held at the Novotel Hotel, Union Street, Wolverhampton
Starting time 2.00 pm.  Admission will be to ticket holders only.

ADDRESSING THE TAXATION ISSUES...

Are you having any difficulty with HM Customs & Excise?
Are you being told that you must pay the full duty rate of 47.1 p on your bio-fuel or vegetable oil when used as a fuel?
Are you being required to submit unreasonable technical analysis to prove that your fuel meets the criteria for the bio-diesel tax break?
Don't despair, come to this conference and help us form a new Association to fight back against the illegal ways the government seems intent to erode our right to save the future of our planet - our way.

The purpose of this conference is to gather information and opinion from everyone who is involved in the making and use of bio-fuels made without transesterification in the UK. The proposal is to form a Trade Association that can represent and argue for the recognition, support and development of a broad range of better bio-fuel technologies in Britain. This could be achieved within the Bio-power structure, or it could be through the formation of a separate and autonomous body, to which Bio-power could also be a member.

Formal proposals

Do we wish to form a Trade Association?

Should that Association be operated within and as an integral part of Bio-power?

Should that Association be formed as a separate autonomous body?

Should this be administered from the Bio-power office?

Do we agree to the following basic aims of the Association…

         1. To promote the development and use of bio-fuels in the UK made principally from natural plant materials,
made other than by the process of transesterification involving reactions with fossil derived chemicals.

         2. To promote the making and use of such fuels by anyone, be it for their own use or for sale as a business

         3. To promote and facilitate the efficient creation and use of bio-fuels, through co-operation between members
              to achieve their shared aims

         4. To represent the views and interests of members, in government consultations, and if necessary in court

         5. To seek the appropriate levels of taxation or tax exemption for this form of fuel to ensure that it can be
made and used effectively to achieve the maximum environmental benefits

         6. To do what ever if considered necessary by the members to promote, develop, improve, enhance and
further the use of non-fossil bio-fuels in the UK.

Decide a name for the Trade Association

Select / Elect people to work as a committee to take forward these decisions and form a Trade Association as a registered company.

Open forum until the close of the hall.
